Mission

The mission of department is to lay strong foundation in clinically relevant medical education, so as to address a crucial need for patient care, support and medical research in basic sciences. To provide high quality educational experience to under graduate and postgraduate students in a diverse learning environment promoting and preparing students to meet upcoming challenges in the field of Anatomy.

History and Values

The department of anatomy was started under the leadership of Dr. Geetha Ranga Rao in the year 2000. At present the department has progressed to excellence with the unconditional support of experienced and dedicated teaching faculties and supporting staff.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

The department provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical training to different courses such as MBBS, MD program.

LABORATORY FACILITIES

The department is equipped with modern teaching aids and the excellent laboratories for teaching and research. The labs have computers with internet connection and wall mounted monitors to aid in teaching and learning.

• Anatomy Museum
  The Anatomy museum has well preserved specimens of various parts of the human body and skeleton of human & various animals. It is a wonderful learning aid for the students, teachers and general public.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The department has conducted various body and organ donation awareness programmes to the general population. Exhibition of real human organs and anatomy models were organized for students of different Schools and Colleges to provide knowledge on practical science beyond the books.

OTHERS

The department has organized many workshops, Faculty development programs, Guest lectures and Continuing Medical Education programs.

It also conducted different teaching learning programs like - Dissection Competitions, Model making competitions, E-Poster competitions for undergraduate students.
