MD (Psychiatry) is a postgraduate degree at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore. The program focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental illnesses and disorders. The duration of this program is three years and is offered to those who have completed their MBBS degree.
The program is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi.
Eligibility
- Candidate should have passed MBBS Examination and NEET
- He/She has obtained a minimum of marks in National Eligibility – cum – Entrance Test as prescribed in Clause 5 of Chapter II.
- The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission
Admission Procedure
All the seats, including NRI/Management quota, are allotted by merit through online counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee, Directorate General of Health Services, New Delhi and Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore. Selection is based on the rank obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) .
