Outreach activities conducted by the Department of Community Medicine in July 2022

A special outreach camp was conducted at Yekkuru Anganwadi Centre on 13/07/2022, by the Department of Community Medicine, Yenepoya Medical College, in collaboration with Yekkuru Primary centre, Mangaluru. This camp included specialists from department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatricsas well as Community Medicine. A total of 33 beneficiaries, 28 female and 5 male patients who were residents of Yekkuru attended the camp. Treatment for upper respiratory tract infection, anaemia, diabetes and hypertension, gynaecological problems was provided. Blood investigation like GRBS was also conducted for diabetic patients as well as suspected diabetes. The camp concluded at 1.00pm.
