Outreach activities conducted by the Department of Community Medicine in January 2023

Department of Community Medicine, Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore organized a multispeciality health camp for the people residing in the KasbaBengre area on 12/01/2023. The camp started at 9:30 am. A total of 86 beneficiaries were there. Department of Community Medicine along with Department of OBG, ENT, Dermatology , Paediatrics and Ophthalmology attended the cases of the respective departments.People in need of further investigations and procedures were referred to Yenepoya Medical College Hospital. A total of 17 references were there (Ophthalmology - 15 , Paediatrics -1 and Medicine - 1). Department of Community Medicine along with the interns evaluated the vitals, screened for Diabetes and Hypertension and provided primary health care for all the people gathered in the camp .The camp was a great success. The people were very cooperative and were happy with the services provided to them
