The objectives of the B. ASLP program are to equip the students with knowledge and skills to:

• Function as audiologists and speech-language pathologists in different work settings
• Understand concepts in Speech, Language, Communication, and Hearing.
• To evaluate, diagnose, and assess the severity of different disorders related to speech, language, and hearing disorders.
• Provide immediate intervention for speech, language, hearing, and communication disorders across the lifespan.
• To counsel persons and their family members with the various rehabilitation services available and to ensure a better quality of life.

Eligibility

• The candidate applying for admission to the B. ASLP program should havevpassed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination conducted by the Pre- University Board of Education of the respective State Government, securing a minimum of 50% marks. Relaxation in the qualifying marks shall be as per the rules and regulations of the respective University / State/UTs or Central Government.
• The applicant/candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology.

  The department undertakes an external internship program for B. ASLP internees from recognized institutes and Universities.
• Value Added Course on Fundamentals of Kannada Language for Beginners
  This course trains undergraduate health sciences students to develop communication skills in Kannada, which is essential for local clientele management.
